1. Public Talk - Dr. Surain Batagoda 25-11-2011

Dr. Surain Batagoda, Director General, National Planning Department conducted a talk on “Investment Opportunities in the National Budget with special reference to Environmental Conservation”. This was held in the Conference Room, Holcim Lanka Ltd, Colombo 3. As it is just after the Budget Speech in the Parliament there were more than 40 participants.

2 Workshop - In collaboration-with NCPC 16-12 -2011

Director Mr. Sena Peiris National Cleaner Production Centre (NPPC) organized in collaboration with IEPSL a workshop to provide awareness for industries. The theme of the workshop was “Resource Efficient Cleaner Production for Industries”. This was held in the Conference Room, Holcim Lanka Ltd, Colombo 3. More than 20 industrialists were participated. During the questing session they inquired the methodology to adopt cleaner production process within their industry.

3. Career Opportunities in Environment through University Industrial Liaison

   Programme 15-12-2011

IEPSL organized this in collaboration with the Department of Forestry and Environmental Science University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Prof. Hiran Amarasekara, Head, Department of Forestry and Environmental Science took an initiative to make a success of this venture. As under graduated of this Department were keen to know the future prospects on this degree in the private sector more then 60 participants were participate.

Proposed Public Talk in January 2012

Mr. Ravi de Silva Council Member will conduct his Public Talk in the first week of January 2012 at 5.30 p.m. at the Conference Room in Holcim. Mr. Silva said that he will allocate a date for his talk in due course.
