The Institute of Environmental Professionals Sri Lanka (IEPSL) proudly presents EcoConvergence2026, its flagship annual event, to be held on 11–12 March 2026 at the Galle Face Hotel, Colombo, under the theme “Knowledge to Action for a Climate-Resilient Future.”

EcoConvergence2026 brings together policymakers, researchers, industry leaders, practitioners, and environmental professionals to foster dialogue, share knowledge, and promote innovative solutions addressing Sri Lanka’s and the region’s most pressing environmental and climate challenges. The event serves as a dynamic platform for translating scientific knowledge, policy insights, and practical experience into meaningful, action-oriented outcomes.

The programme features the IEPSL Annual Technical Sessions, showcasing high-quality research, case studies, and best practices across a wide range of thematic areas, including climate change, disaster risk reduction, resilient infrastructure, sustainable agriculture, circular economy, nature-based solutions, environmental justice, pollution control, One Health, marine conservation, and green innovation.

Adding special significance to EcoConvergence2026, IEPSL will also commemorate its 20th Anniversary during the event, marking two decades of commitment to advancing environmental professionalism and sustainable development in Sri Lanka. This milestone offers an opportunity to reflect on the Institute’s journey, honour its legacy, and reaffirm its vision for the future.

Call for Papers - IEPSL Annual Technical Sessions 2026

The Institute of Environmental Professionals Sri Lanka (IEPSL) invites researchers, academics, practitioners, policymakers, and industry professionals to submit research abstracts for the IEPSL Annual Technical Sessions 2026, themed “Knowledge to Action for a Climate-Resilient Future.”

Submissions are invited under (but not limited to) the following key thematic areas:

  1. Environmental Informatics and Data Science
  2. Climate Change
  3. Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Preparedness
  4. Resilient Infrastructure, Smart Cities and Urban Planning
  5. Sustainable Agriculture
  6. Circular Economy and Sustainability
  7. Nature-based Solutions
  8. Biotechnology in Environmental Science
  9. Technology in Environmental Science
  10. Environmental monitoring and assessment
  11. Environmental Justice and Equity
  12. Pollution Control and abatement
  13. One Health Approach
  14. Sustainable fisheries and Marine Conservation
  15. Green Innovations

Accepted abstracts will be considered for oral or poster presentations during the Technical Sessions. IEPSL strongly encourages interdisciplinary and practice-oriented contributions that translate knowledge into tangible environmental impact.

Selected submissions will be considered for publication in the IEPSL Journal.
