The Institute of Environmental Professionals Sri Lanka (IEPSL) conducted a one-day training program on “Environmental Assessments for Credit Officers of Sampath Bank PLC” on 2 January 2026 at the Auditorium, Sampath Bank Head Office, Colombo 02.
Designed to strengthen practical decision-making in project financing, the session focused on helping credit officers incorporate environmental considerations into lending. The program covered core elements of environmental assessment, relevant regulatory requirements, and approaches to environmental risk identification and evaluation within credit appraisal processes.
IEPSL continues to support the financial sector by promoting environmentally responsible practices through knowledge sharing, capacity building, and professional development.
